A little flying report of the total G in Logo 5003D:

I had the total G installed in my Logo 500 for a while just using it as a receiver and tail gyro and decided to go flybarless - Curtis sent me the new firmware upgrade and with some setup guidance from Brian and Dr. Ron - I have to say, I'm very impressed with the way it's operating.

The Logo is flying great!!

I have the Vbar in my TDR and both work very well - the Total G allows me to fly the Logo both smooth and aggressive with no negative tendencies.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

Happy Flying,
Jeff

I agree that the unit is good but the software is not very userfriendly. To be successfull it has to be stupid simple but complex at the same time. For example the vbar has a slider that says agility with reccomended settings for different helis. The software is the most important part of a fbl unit and without a good software the unit will go nowhere.

agreed - but once you understand the setup - its very easy to use and works great. I think they've nailed things down better with the new firmware. Heli flys great!

I agree i flew the rave env nitro with total g and it was made for that machine. It flies awesome just as good as any unit out right now but like i said people give up on things really easy if it doesnt work semi good out of the box. And lets face most people dont understand fbl to begin with(geometry, resolution, ect ect)

for sure, when Vbar first came out, it was like another language - everyone was lost.

They'll get their software up to speed in time.

Yeah, but come on: we're not reiventing the wheel here. The programmers can do a better job after merely using better software and mimic the style and flow. There's no real excuse for making a stone age user interface. Maybe the issue is the programmer(s) don't appreciate a good setup flow of screens for the guy on the work bench. (or in my livinging room)

i dunno, the setup seems the best so far. My only gripes are, it still doesn't support futaba s.bus, the program is finicky and two interface ports, one for tail and one cyclic. fix those issues in a unit the size of the beast or skookum, and they probably would have the market. Add a mores code light show like that stupid beast x (to pacify the pc illiterate) and at the same price point, and there would be no contest. love the way they fly in my larger birds, but things get cramped in a 200. Not enough room for a fbl unit rx wires and and rx... s.buss leaves just enough room.
