Nice video....

I've always wondered about those balloons. I guess the path is controlled by the wind direction.

@ Nick - I've wondered that as well. How do they "return to base" or do they get picked up somewhere?

That would be a good guess.

Since you never hit what you aim for, you aim for a tree and end up in the middle of a field LOL.

I just ordered a GoPro 2. Need a decent small video camera that's versatile

I've flown in a Hot air balloon and yes, you go with the wind. You try and land in a field or next to a country road that is easily accessible by the chase vehicle. Chase vehicle is the key to ballooning. Landing your balloon is quite exciting when the wind is above 10mph.

One day I will ride in a balloon but I'd be lying if I didn't say letting nature's wind control your destination makes me a bit nervous.

@ Bart - TOTALLY agree!! What happens if a wind storm suddenly pops up (which happens here in Texas a lot) or the wind changes directions the wrong way!! Maybe pack a parachute!! LOL!!

I've always wanted to take a balloon ride and drink champaign while tossing paper airplanes overboard. I'll bet you can get some long flight times. The temptation to toss 5 lb. bags of flour would be great, however.
