Shhh we pitch our tents by the flight line. No reserving a spot. Just don't try to pitch your tent inside pinions dog house. Fires, where we tent by the flight line your going to need to bring a above ground fire pit for that. No fire pits near the flight line camping area. Might be some in the primative camping area, didn't pay attention to that.
Golf Cart info is on this page of the IRCHA site.

Hope you you enjoy IRCHA!

You will have a great time. Its a camp anywhere deal but on the other side of the "event road" not on flight line. Not seen camp fires at least in the main area (where I have tent camped). Carts need to be ordered prior to event but I dont know the details as I have not done that. Enjoy hearing Helis from the moment you wake until drifting off to sleep, with the not so faint smell of nitro hanging over the field.
In other words, Heaven.

Site 4 alone is about 140 acres. The main flight line is about .6 miles (3200 feet) long.

The last 2 years I walked, quite a few times, up and down the line. It's not bad if the whether happens to be good but if it's like it was the year before last, which was 95 & humid as all get out, it is not fun. This year I got the cart. I decided to get it since I am doing volunteer work this year and because I want to see the speed runs. Last year I wanted to see the speed runs without moving my car and it was just too far without a cart.

Remember, the carts with the orange flags running up and down the flight line, plus the red van, will take you anywhere you want to go on the AMA property.

3200 ft. flight line sounds good to me.

So do you think you can take video of the complete line in the air with your camera ship AerialSkyCam?

There are actually 3 completely different flight lines available during IRCHA.
