Boca has a new muffler bearing out, they're tiny gumballs inside. You'd think the nitro would eat them away but apparently (who knew) they work just fine in that application.

I use pneumatic fluid with an overhead buffer, and use blue chow line to clean inbetween the cracks to clean my muffler bearings.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day

boca muffler bearings
My experience is none of the boca muffler bearings worked well on my ESCs, and they keep passing the blame on the ESCs.

Be sure to rotate your muffler bearings regularly. Rockman when you change that blinker fluid be sure to set the timing on your alternator.

Make darn sure that you use a pair of TR-double E"s to remove the muffler as to not hinder reinstallation...

Im new to kanoodle valve replacement one of you guys will have to teach me.

Rotor head setup now kanoodle valve replacement blinker fluid fills and crappy muffler bearings. Maybe I should just quit this failure prone hobby keeping a rc heli in the air is almost as hard as keeping a rear bearing in a hyper 50 (slam intended)

Will I quit .................

NEVER I just fly more reliable name brands.

(Listens to Onyx Slam and so is my neighbors)

So I seem to understand some of these bearing issues but I still have lagging questions:

How high can these things go?
How far out?
And what is the average cost? I've only understood the bearings from reading on the forums and my cousin has one of these things...

Very very high, and very very far out.
You forgot one....and very very fast.

Cost from under $100 (not very) to a few thousand (very very) to $10's of thousands (not so very again)

I got tired of the frustration of cleaning the muffler bearings and decided to switch to full synthetic bearings. I have also installed a Quick UK header bearings to supplement the muffler bearing. The header bearings allow for more even exchange of torque between the wrist pin and the tail slider.

I admit that I got just a little frustrated once I realized that I would also have to do the landing skid mod so that the pressure fitting would not bind at the swash plate under full cyclic throw. It cost a little more, but if it saves a $400 helicopter then it's $0.63 well spent if you ask me. I just wish Futaba would make this a standard feature with their o-ring module. Oh well.. we can dream can't we?
