When choosing the correct spacer do you want any pay at all or tight enough that you can just get the jesus bolt through? With my DFC conversion the same spacer I used on my previous head the jesus bolt slid through and I had no play. With the DFC main shaft I was able to get it through with the same spacer but I had to work at it a little to get it through.

I'm also using the KDE blocks with the thrust bearings.

Thanks

I upgraded from the original gearing in my 700 to the M-1 gears and found it to tight to get my JB in, so I had to order these spacers and it made the difference.

Hi guy's, I just bought the DFC head as well! I had to use two spacers to get the no play up/down in the main shaft. But now I notice I can move my main gear up and down about a .05 is this normal or I'm I missing some thing it don't rub on the tail drive gear or any where else for that matter. I just didn't notice it before? But then again I wasn't looking for it. I went through the manuel again and couldn't find any other spacers or shims that I missed? I think it's put togther right? Can one of you guy's check your 700n for me and see if you can move your main gear up and down a little bit but with out moving the whole main shaft up and down at the same time? And thanks for any help guy's!

main shaft for trex 700N
hi everyone, happy to see this topic,. to weaslebean, i used the same shim for the main shaft though had to sand it a little otherwise the screw on the gear wont fit. fixed it without play but the MAIN gear slightly moves up and down. about 1mm more or less. i think its normal cause i checked it many times before putting it again. even checked the stock trex 700n FB, had the same play. this is what i see on my heli.
