yeah, because he couldn't have stabbed her or strangled her. This is a parenting issue, not a gun issue.

Guns don't kill people. stupid people do. But I do place a good amount of blame on the parents, when you have kids under 18 in a house, all guns should be locked up. But if he didn't have access to a gun I bet anything he would have used a knife or a bat, or anything else he could get his hands on. He was determined to do what he did.

LOCK UP YOUR GUNS..
+1 that. Rights are hugely important to protect, but they do not absolve anyone from excersizing common sense.

I have a young iresponcible nephew, and a good gun box.

Everyone i know in a similar possition does the same.

again...parenting. I had total access to my dad's gun case by 12. And I accessed it almost daily. By 14 I had my own shotgun and so did my brother the same year at 12. We weren't country bumpkins, we were city folk that moved to the country. Me and my brother used to trek into the woods almost daily with firearms. I never shot my brother....

Do I believe in gun control hell NO
but I do believe in policing our selves to keep them locked up
If you don't have kids in the house that's a different story but I still would keep them locked up if I'm not at home..

It has nothing to do with "Feelings".

Its the law of the land. It has been that way since this country was formed.

Should be free of charge to anyone will lack or morals or respect for our republic (pretty much a cure all for Washington D.C.).

Guns are nothing more than tools that are far too often used by real "tools".

Every gun owner should be responsible and lock up their guns. That way when things like this happen the idiot blame everything but the person responsible crowd can't try to change the Constitution with more stupid do nothing laws.

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

18 is too late. Gun education and ownership should start at an early age. When an adult gets a gun for the first time they most likely do not have the necessary respect and or knowledge of the power these weapons have. My first gun was a pellet gun at the age of 8. My father made Damn sure I knew what I was doing and kept a careful eye on me, before I was allowed to step up in power. I bought my first 22 at age 12. An adult will not have someone there to "teach" the proper handling and safety precautions, unless they take classes and actually listen to other adults. How often does that happen? Judging by the idiots I run into everyday..... not that often.

When I was a police officer we had to qualify with each weapon ..
What is wrong with that policy?
