I bought an SR a couple weeks ago after flying my 120sr around for awhile thought well I should be able to hover this (even though it's my 1st cp) crashed it in 30 sec and that was my reality check. After I fixed all the damage I started following Radds flight school and finally did some hovering today it was great

Congrats. I also went from a 120sr to the sr. Tried to get out and immediately fly the and sr and it ended in a quick crash. I had to hit the simulator more and finally was able to fly it around. I bought an mcpx and it has been the single most helpful purchase for myself. The simulator is a great tool but can get boring. I love the mcpx for practice and low crash cost. Stay with it, don't get discouraged and find a good local mentor to help you with setup. Good luck and congrats again!

Wow, have not seen a post on SRs in some time. I started with the SR and it was a bear! It's still in a pile in my hobby room after several crashes. I built a Trex 500 FB and from the start it has been the best thing happening. Hovered the first time up and was feeling so good ran the batt down so low the Heli came down (not hard). Good luck with the SR, you will see the light when you go 500 or larger.

This heli is a pile of junk. I cant even fly one in stock form. As soon as the heli is nose in and I give more collective to compensate it starts to whip around, I quickly get confused and its all gone! Played with the gyro alot and still cant get it to hold. My nexus 30 with a $70 heli-max Piezo gyro held better!

With a belt drive kit and a good gyro like a 401 or 520? It probably wouldnt be a half bad little heli to play with. Other than that the best advice I can give is to pawn it off on some other idiot thats willing to give you green cash for it and invest in a better heli.

i agree. pure crap. had an sr and couldnt keep it in a hover. very unstable for a fbl and the tail (dont get me started). that was my first "cp" heli. instinct told me to get a 450 3d so i did and MAN what a difference. after some time and learning 3d flight on it found out that the tail servo and gyro NEEDS upgrading. found that a gy401 and a 9275 are a perfect match for this bird

trex 700e, trex 550e, trex 450 pro, trex 250 pro (all 3gx)...I'd rather be flying!!

Radds School Of Rotary Flight is awesome! i always recommend that newbies start there. you'll spend a good amount of time learning to correct before you even get in the air!

My crashes are cooler than your flying! ;^)

I fly 700's, and I struggled flying my friends SR. Not a heli to learn on.
