If Mitt wins, how can he be sworn in, if his religion does not believe in the bible and follows the book of Mormans?

Will he use the book of Mormans to be sworn in?

The Mormon church teaches that the Bible has been corrupted and does not contain the fullness of the gospel. This is reflected in one of their Articles of Faith which states: "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly"

Sorry, but as a Mormon myself, we believe the Bible to be the word of God, as long as its translated correctly. In our church services we use, read, study, and ponder the King James version of the Bible. It is an important part of our religion and Mitt would have no issue swearing in using the Bible. As to the translated correctly statement, think of how many different versions and translations of the Bible can be found out there, last I searched I found more than a dozen different translations apart from the King James version.... Anyway, short answer, our faith depends on the Bible and believes in it.

Seeing as I work more than 40 hours a week, you are barking up the wrong tree. I have never been one to give anything to anyone for free. I have been working straight since I was 12 years old where I started out as a transmission remover.

But if Mitt wins I doubt you will see any change.

Then why do you support the progressive left ideology with such glee?

So what if the bible they use is not a king james version. And how do you know if it was translated correctly.

I am not trying to be a smart a**, but am wanting to learn.

You also state that your faith depends on the bible, but how do you know which one is correct. The way I read it, the Mormans feel if it is not the king james version "which is what I use", then it is not the correct version.

Its my best guess that Mitt won't be quibbling about it.

It won't be about which bible to use.

It will be about defeating the Obummer and his pals.

Normally I would recommend sticking with transmission removal at age 12 but just stick with the Bible you have - and we will work on differen t English translation's

Sorry PSy : I couldn't resist : Sincerely

Lay a few different English translation's out in front of you ! and read the exact same content -- chapter and verse from one to the other. The word is the same. They are different for the reader and his ability.

That is the reason a GOOd study Bible is necessary

What we really need is a president that will go by the Constitution! And not Obama's "translation" of it either!

Actually why would the President care as long as it's not soul damning?

He could get sworn in on a box of Eskimo Pies and it could still be official.

How the President gets sworn in doesn't require him to change his beliefs.

JFK was Catholic. Is the Catholic bible the same as King James? I didn't think they were.
