I`ve a year ago bought a used N9 and been pretty happy with it, tho the discontinuation of the line kind of soured the relation a bit..
Now i`m looking at buying a used N5 airframe. The airframe looks to be in pretty good condition.

the question is: Will i be happy with it or will i regret not getting an N5C because it has less bugs / better spare parts support etc ?

i`d have to still get an engine for it and servos etc.

what do you say, is getting the N5 worth it?

depends.
If it's any more than 250 I'd get the N5c.

Just go for the N5c. If you get the N5, you'll just end up spending way more money buying N5c parts to replace original N5 parts as you go.

the airframe was about 250 as there was also queens aniversary discount (go figure)! So i broke down and bought it and a OS55 with it.

thanks for the input guys, i didn`t see any used N5Cs available right now anyway.. and there is always the option to upgrade later on.

It arrived today !

Man what a huge heli it`s nearly as large as my Ely-Q 90C and quite a bit larger than my X50.
i`m already looking forward to flying it!

Double check if it has autorotation up grade, IMO, it is the minimum up grade this first model needs.

Can you please elaborate? I've not followed what was going on with the N5 in terms of updates.
