Hey guys as a noobie I've been going through trying out each heli it seems, and I thought I was hardcore outrage till my v50 and fusion I just didn't like how they flew for me... maybe its my setup I don't know.... I have a stratus FBL that flys so smooth, and I just like the characteristics of it.... which leads me to my next question.... I am looking for top quality/support/performance.... I can't do wild 3d so I was thinking of pre ordering the whiplash gasser.... but probably will just get the nitro version.... How do you guys like your whiplash over say a trex 700 or Velocity 90 or similar helis?

I have also considered synergy my buddy has a N5 and is also a very nice smooth machine as well!! I dont care about crash cost thats not my factor in a heli anymore I just want top notch.

I own all three(Stratus, whiplash N, and a 700). I flew the stratus until a battery crapped out on me and it did a chicken dance. It wasn't worth fixing so I bought a HR Stratus. I'm still building the whip. But I can tell you the Whiplash compared to other MA helis was a breeze to build. The 700 was an ok build but I had to buy extra stuff so it could run right(shim kit and something else which I can't remember at the moment). Align has redesigned many parts on their helis and customer service from what I understand is nil. I used to own an N9 but I've never owned an N5/N5c so I can't comment on that heli but unless they improved on QC issues that they had with the N9 I wouldn't get one personally. I had to buy some aftermarket parts for my N9 to fly right also. I have never needed to buy aftermarket parts for any of my MA helis.

the n9 was made by other synergy owners and was not matts design at all, he inherited that mess of a heli
the fury 55 and n5c are the best flying helis(other than logo 600) that i have ever flown. My fury is my go to heli but the synergy is in the lead now bc of a bum tail servo. I have to say the synergy n5c is amazing quality and it tracks perfectly. If it had direct swash input then it would be better than the fury.
I have had an electric whiplash and i cant say i was in love with it like i am the fury 55. IMO it performs best as a nitro machine. The local team ma pilot at my feild flies the nitro whiplash and imo it is the best 90 nitro machine ever made. simple well made fast agile

I don't own a Whiplash but have been looking real hard at them. I was hardcore outrage from the time they came out as well. I now have a Fury 55 and a Furion 6 and there is no comparison in my opinion. MA quality is so much better and I like how they fly better as well. I have put about 50 flights on the 55 this spring so far and have had zero issues or maintenance not even a loose screw just fuel and fly. I don't have as many on the Furion but so far just as good as the Fury and same quality parts. I got rid of the Fusion, but still have the Velocity as a backup but it just sits in the truck and never gets flown. Since Matt took over Synergy they seem to be top notch as well but haven't owned one so no first hand experience with them.
