Hi,
I've rce-G600 Align governor on my Raptor 90 3d and for first 50 flights It's been fine. In the last periods I started doing some Fieseler and - sometimes - at the beginning of the descent phase the engine seems to cut as if the governor disengages...after 2 seconds it seems re engaging with no other problems. Checked tubes and the rest and everything looks perfect. Of course at that point my throttle stick is lower, but looking at my throttle curve I'm 100% sure throttle lever is 40/50% , so over 30% where it seems it's a point where governor engages / disengages...but on the manual it's not so clear.
Any help?
Thank you!

Denis, that is normal with any governor to prevent severe overspeeding. The vertical descent on the Fieseler (stall turn) maneuver and on tail slides can easily speed up the rotor head to more than the governor is set to. This causes the governor to shut down the motor to what ever position is the lowest throttle setting.

Thank you for the reply.
Sure, I understand the main rotor con overspeed, but thats not my case. It happens while giving rudder, so just before start the descent... I have just read on Align Rce-g600 Align governor one things that makes me doubt...

...That is that to enable the governor there should be (with proper gain settng) the throttle >30%, and I knew that and it's fine.

...But what makes me doubt is that there is also written that in Idle mode (governor mode) the throttle should be > 50% ... And this is why - maybe - sometimes it disengage leaving the throttle go down.

In fact, while doing the stall turn of the Fieseler, normally the throttle stick goes quite low ( in particular in my case since I do not fly with a lot of neg pitch)... And my throttle curve in governor mode is surely <40% in the first fifth or fourth of stick position...

What I've just done is to make a throttle curve for governor mode starting not from zero but directly from 50%...

Next w.end I'll give it a try... But I'm quite convinced it could be the solution at my problem...

What do you think ?

Could it be ?

Denis

In idle up modes you need to make your throttle curve to not fall below 30%

Pos 1 100
Pos3 50
Pos5 100

This is typical throttle curve and your governor wont shut off

Eccellent thank you!
In fact my suspect was exactly that ... I was falling below 50% once governor was set going over 30%...

I'll give it a try, thank you very much

Denis
