I bought a used raptor 50 titan that was converted from a raptor 50v2 and when I went to test fly it the other day I noticed the canopy moves up when I give it full pitch.

I have -11 to + 11 for pitch.

never had a raptor before and hate to crash it on its maiden flight.

Never seen that before. Does your Raptor have a stock canopy?

Same canopy. Can you take a pic of the bottom canopy clip ( The one that clips to the skids)

Is it the aileron levers that's moving the canopy?

yes it is the aileron levers moving the canopy.

the skids look like align, very thin compared to the raptor skids.

I have a set of raptor skids but no skid pipes, going to put them on and see if that is better.

At mid stick is the aileron levers 90 degrees with the with the rods going to the swash?,that's swash, aileron ball to mounting screw on the pitch arm.

My .50 does that. I have the yellow milk jug canopy on it. It barely hits and the canopy gives. I just fly it like that.

You mentioned it was the pitch arm?

I can say that my Titan's aileron levers run very close to the canopy at full pitch, they may even just touch it.

How far is it moving and can you see exactly what is touching? with the transparent windshield, it should be easy to see whats going on.

edit: just saw Fred's post, I forgot to mention that mine prob has about 300 flights on it this way, no problems.

My Aileron one touches the canopy on the V2,nothing serious,i think its the way the canopy is moulded.

thank's guys,
it only bumps the canopy at full pitch.

finally took it out today and got 2 good flights on the new hyper 50,had some issues with the gy520 but realized it was me not having the radio set up for avcs mode!

been in the hobby for 9 years and this is the first raptor I have ever owned, haven't flown much in two years due to work but i am back and have 9 gallons of magnum 30 to burn.

does it have v1 canopy posts?
there shorter and will make the canopy rub on the arms. there the rear posts that the gromets go into. they should be close to one inch long.

Try fixing the lower bracket of the canopy, which is attached with the skid struts.
I think that's way out.
Your canopy needs to go in more to give room to the aileron.
