I'm really excited went to lhs today for a couple new sats and low and behold they had just gotten 2 DX18s well I wanted one but wasn't gonna spring for it. Well GF went and bought it and said happy early birthday! So psyched! radio far outclasses my 9303. What a great woman! And a great birthday gift!

I didn't think the DX18 was being released until July. Which LHS has DX18's in stock?

DX18
They shipped to Hobby Shops last Friday, not two days ago, 9 days ago, the only thing I don't like you can not take your DX8 SD card and down load all the setting off it to the DX18, but it's a nice radio for the price. Bobby

Bobby,
Bucky didn't get them till this Friday.
they said they had just put them out when I got there.

Bobby always has the hookups

but yeh flew it today and very impressed. leaps and bounds above the 9303. my only bitch is they didn't include a telemetry module in the kit so will have to buy 1 to take advantage of the full capabilities ofn the radio.

The included RX does nothing really for us heli guys. except give us 2 DSMX sats to rob and put on something else.

The build quality / materials on the DX18 look quite a bit cheaper than the 9303.

The 11X also feels cheap ( actuating the power switch is similar feel to a sub $100 tx ).

My 9303 will serve me well for 8 more years at least.

That is really awesome. I am in a total debate whether I want one or not. It would literally be for the cool factor as I can't and never will fly to it's capabilities.

Your 9303 should last you another 50 years...the way flybarless systems are going we are soon only going to need the basic 4-6 channel many of us started with to fly LOL... bring back the attack 4!

congrats on the 18, keep us posted on what you think.

I would spend the money that you had saved up for a radio and buy that women a ring!! She's a keeper

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Plan on it

the DX18 feels and looks every bit as good as a 12x it does not feel cheap like the other Spektrum radios. (including the DX8)
it feels stout and heavy and well made like my JR radios.

The gimbals feel like the 12x and the software is fantastic.

I agree, the DX18 is a very nice radio. I bought one about a month ago (because my wife doesn't love me as much as USNAviationjay's girlfriend loves him) and I'm very happy with it. The programming is great, and the gimbals and case feel very nice.

Sounds great, I'm envious, but I'm wondering if it comes with documentation of their software test plan... that was the missing piece on the DX8.

oops, bounced it!

I was thinking about picking one up. It's good to hear positive reviews. I'm still trying to convince my girlfriend to get me one but any time I say she should get me one she laughs at me for some reason.
