Im sodering some bullet connectors back on my esc leads...

Does it matter if the copper part that was on there fell off and I just soder the main wire to the bullet connector?

Opinions?

Can you take a picture of what you're talking about? I'm concerned that if anything has "fallen off" it might be bad.

To be brutally honest, that looks like a really bad soldering job. Best get with a friend that is experienced with soldering and show you how to do it correctly.

That does not look right. Heat up the "cup" where the copper wire comes from and remove it. Tin and solder the wires from the ESC directly into the "cup" of your connector.

Yea, I would have left the copper part off. So there are 2 different kinds of wire coming off your esc? Or was that copper stuck in your bullets from something else? I wouldn't fly like that.

Holy Crap! That's bad in so many ways.

Might want to cut back to the insulated wire, then use wire strippers to remove a half inch of insulation, then solder into the bullet cup.

Also make sure to slip a small length of heat shrink tubing over the wire so that you can shrink over the soldered joint---encasing the entire bullet connector.

just flame heat the connector with the gas range of the kitchen, the old soldier and wire will fall off, and then restart your welding from there.

Is it me or this time the ground was higher than last time??

Just from the way the solder is blobed up i would say you are using solder without flux. Either use rosin core solder or get some rosin soldering paste.

Soldering takes practice. Try again, and take a picture of your finished product.
