After converting my Stratus to E-power, I ended up with a spare motor, ESC, and e-stratus motor mount. Seeing my last poor, lonely nitro Expert hanging on the wall made me sad. I wanted to fly it, but who wants to go buy $39 worth of fuel that lasts 6 flights, let alone deal with the rusted bearings, glow plugs, and slime! So, I put to work on converting this baby. Turned out it was very simple!

1. Removed all that nitro garbage.
2. Had to cut away the area in the frames under the clutch bell to make room for the mount
3. Drilled a few new holes for the e-stratus mount
4. Screwed the 6mm pinion adapter from MA onto the 10T pinion that was still attached to upper bearing block
5. Installed bearing block back into it's place, then installed motor into mount plate and stuffed the whole assembly into a temporary postion. Left a slice of paper between the gears for proper spacing!
6. Drilled new holes out to final size and tightened everything down
7. Cut 2 battery rails from a sheet of G-10, countersunk some holes into them and mounted to the lower portion
8. Mounted ESC and batteries.

Here's a few of the pics. I didn't get a pic of every step, but if anyone needs to see more let me know.

Flies great! Pulls about 60 amps at 1850 rpm, and barely loads the motor. This old bird is now my favorite flyer!
