Hard to fly something that hasn't been released.

It will be obsolete before it gets released by the Blade 700X, who can keep up with all this new stuff.

$900!....PASS!

Eflight is trying to break in to a crowded market and they are about five years too late. Unless they have come up with a 500 that will magically never crash and will fly itself, it can't be worth the coin.
For $790 I would go Trex 500 EFL pro which comes with no major plastic components like the Blade does.

Actually we have some newbie heli guys who start out and do pretty good on the 120SR, Then they want to move up to a collective pitch heli. The 4503D @ 299.00 gets them going and at a affordable price. They are a far cry from the old Blade crap. I'm not saying they are great quality but fill a need for someone wanting to give heli's a shot without getting in to deep.

E-flite is way better than they used to be even I will admit that and I was one of the poor suckers that got sucked into that blade cp POS.

I wanted to try E power and FBL so I purchased the 450X and I am liking it alot. I like it enough to want the 500X also.

But I just read on the website release is September now. This is starting to chafe like sandpaper underwear.

I am getting so sick and tired of the whole rc helicopter industries tease tease tease release tease date tease tease I want to slap it on the head tell it to get dressed and get the hell out.

I really want a 500x but if you guys dont like money I guess I will have to spend it with someone who does. Same can be said about the Whip Gas.

Rant over.

ENGAGE!!

Don't wait for the new stuff, summer is to short and so are the parts usualy. I can wait a season to let others beta test it.

In the meantime check out the protos better value for your $

I wouldn't give Eflite more than a couple hundred for a starter heli after that it's time to get real.

September? Horizon needs to work on supply. This hobby has ADD. By the time they get this stuff in, everyone will have spent there money on other heli's, airplanes..whatever.
Like you said summer is short . I have been pondering buying a 130X but looks like that will be delayed, my money will be long spent on summer fun.

Blade
All of these eflights look good in the box,but watch out whenever or whatever you crash or damage 9 times out of 10 its plastic. They need to put better hardware on them period,i mean it.

There after the first time heli guy not the seasoned vet. They offer reasonably priced easy to repair entry level heli's. Why they even considered the flooded 500 market is beyond me. As far as availability China's eating their lunch right now. Most haven't noticed that the Chinese people have woke up and don't work for peanuts ( by our standards) anymore.

Every vendor is facing production problems with them now. Haven't any of you noticed the high amount of out of stock and back-orders with all vendors over the last few months?

Mcpx or 130x from blade that's it imo. Trex 500, logo 400, or gaui x4 or 5 for that price.

^^^^+1000 Had the SR and what a p.o.s. after I did something about the tail (ddvp) it was still a p.o.s. just with a better tail. Love my mCPx and it helps me improve on my e325 alot. The 130x will be next after it's been out for a while anyway. My winter project will prolly be an Align 500 and parts are everywhere here.

The 500 is rather pricey for what it is.
