I don't remember Dennis ever proclaiming to be a big Rush fan.
The primary thing I agree with Rush on is what Rush said when the Obummer won in 2008.

"I hope Obama does not succeed"

After all, who would want success with socialist/Marxist policies?

The last, I said.

So you hate democrats and if a republican doesn't do things the way you like they become a rino. You will never be happy. Seems like you need to leave America and start your own country with your own rules and means.

I don't hate Democrats.

I am just thoroughly disgusted with them.

The rhino repubs might as well switch parties.

The whole key is the size of government.

The Tea Party is the only one that wishes to reduce it.

The others want to increase it. In fact, they are hell bent on doing so. The entire set up in Washington DC is set up on growth.

The bigger a government is, the smaller its people are.

This is without question one of the most brilliant suggestions on this or any other forum.

So all the Conservatives go to Idaho, and the Liberals get the rest of the country???

I have always felt that anyone who gets into office has wanted to reduce the size but then finds out that it is nearly impossible. I really do not think it can be done. It is not a matter of simply waving a magic wand.

I don’t hate democrats either. I hate idiots. It’s just that the two are usually indistinguishable!

So what you are saying is that when Bush was in office he had no power or the ability to stop the house from bringing down this countries economy? Doesn't the president have the ability to veto? How can you keep blaming everything on the democrats when the president has the last say?
The POTUS has no line item veto powers.
Presidents of the United States have repeatedly asked the Congress to give them a line-item veto power, but in all such cases, either the Congress have refused or the Supreme Court of the United States has stripped them of it after they received it from Congress.
What that means is that a despicable Congress (such as the ones that we've had since 2007) can put provisions (i.e. gay marriage, legalizing pot, etc) into a bill like funding Iraq/Afghanistan wars that have NOTHING to do with those wars. A POTUS can't veto a bill like that and the despicable congressmen and women know that which is why they piggyback legislation is other bills.

Stupidity can be cured. Ignorance is for life!

a line item veto would be the biggest step towards stopping all of the dirty deals cut by the house and senate. Line item veto = getting rid of the pork. Way overdue.
