^That's really disappointing. I've been wondering what's going on with Mikado being out of stock.

I can also relate about looking at a heli and figuring how much is into it. I have a hard time with the thought of a 3K+ heli.

I bet the E5 will be very promising and put some new life in the 550 class.

OK what about the E5 any one hear any specs or seen any video on it.

Every one that has a logo likes the way they fly. I am retired now and the money angle of the hobby is a much bigger deal now that I don't have the kind of money that I used to make. I made good money at my job but all things come to an end and now I don't need the fanciest heli out there. At the end of the day I want the best bang for my buck.

I cant really get involved in any heli recomendation threads but its obvious what heli I would recommend...lol

But I will add that if it were me I would not go bigger than 550mm if you want to stay 6S.it just seems that 600mm is really hard on batts if you are doing anything other than casual sport flying

No,for 6s all I want is 550's. Like you said 600's will pull too many amps for the 6s. Good way to puff your tacos.

You might want to hold on a little longer. I read in the Synergy Forum that Matt is looking at releasing the E5 some time this summer. It also says that he is apprehensive to provide pics because of how easy it is for others to copy designs--It's a shame that this happens so much (China).

I read that it will be capable of 6S-12S set ups, which I think is really cool. The Rail Blade Line is adding 556mm mains to accomodate the E5.

I am anxious to see it. Matt does a real nice job with desgin and he doesn't compromise quality. I don't own a Synergy, but the E5 might be my first.

I am in no hurry to get a 550 size. I could easily wait and see what the E5 looks like. I really hoped to have my mind made up for IRCHA and get what I want while I am there. Got a good deal on my rex 600 fbl in 2010.

The Synergy E5 should be a good bird I can't wait to see it.

I will be taking my Logo apart this week or next week (removing all the electronics) I am done with it. It will be a short lived ownership experience for me just not willing to wait weeks for parts to arrive it’s just not acceptable as far as I am concerned.

I wish Henseleit made a 550 class heli it would be the one to own for sure. All the manufactures are preoccupied with making BIG 12S and 14S helis I want a 550 size heli that can handle one 6S pack for less charging and more flying please!

Just curious, how long does it take for you to get Heinslett parts?

Henseleit parts, from time of order to the USA 8-12 days (US Customs slows the process down). Henseleit is never out of stock like Mikado USA dealers are. You are also ordered from Henseleit directly & it cuts out the middle man. FYI Henseleit is the BEST Heli I have ever built and owned just wish it was a bit more aggressive in the air (that’s why I sold it)

So you'll order Henseleit parts direct from Germany but not Logo parts? Mikado has the boom clamps in stock. Someone also gave you a link to the Canadian reseller. Did you ever try contacting Ready Heli? I'm guessing you didn't since they the boom clamps in stock under a different part number.

With a Henseleit TDR you know in advance what you are getting since you wait just to get on the list. Then you wait 6-12 months before you get the kit. This is a top shelf heli a true work of art.

Mikado is supported here in the USA so it’s a different animal. I guess the part you have pointed out is the part I need (thanks by the way), did not know since I used the number that was in the (worst manual ever).

I did not contact RH since the part number (per the manual) listed on RH’s web site came up on their web site as “out of stock”. I know RH takes pride in real time inventory so I figured it was not worth the call.

One side note/observation that I noticed on RH web site this past week. They were taking “pre orders” for the new silver line V-bars. When they announced the 4X rewards points over the Memorial Day weekend the “pre orders” went OUT OF STOCK. I figured with the 4X rewards points why not order one seemed like a good deal that's why I looked. I put my name down for an alert this way I knew when they came back in stock. The 4X rewards points ended on 28th and silver line V-bars came back in stock on Tuesday the 29th per the email I received from RH kind of funny……things that make you go hmmmmmm……

my buddy and i fly together on the weekends. he has a x5 and i have a 550. there is a huge weight difference between a x5 and trex 550. my 550 feels as heavy or heavier than my velocity 50. i think the x5 is better here because he can run a 4000mah pack to my 5000mah pack for the same flight times. you also could run a lower c rating packs and get great performance with the x5, he is running 25c and is very happy, and the packs are warm after a 5 min flight. if you are running 520 blades there is no contest comparing a 550 e and a x5. a x5 is so much lighter then a trex 550 but most are are running the same size blades. im gonna try a 550 blade and see how that does on my 550 e. i think as far as a 6s setup a x5 is a better platform. the 550 still a bit to pigish like the 600e was.howerver, the 550 e flies good and the parts are everywhere, and that is what is most important to me.

you aint crashin you aint learnin

Isn't the X5 closer in size physically to a trex500, perhaps this is the reason for the weight difference?

What appealed to me about the Logo 500se, is that it is also lighter than the Trex 550 but also physically bigger.

550-600 is my favorite size, always come back to this size.

My next 550-600 is going to be a Compass 6HV

I flew my friends this weekend on 12s 3300 with 600mm blades...7.5 lbs, it can do anything

It can work with 550mm blades and 1 6s and be the same weight as all other 550s mentioned in this thread.

I love my logo 600, it is just under 8 lbs on a light 10s setup and a blast to fly, but the 6HV was more fun

OK I have all but made up my mind on the ....................er.....................er............well crap I still don't know and the popcorn is getting low. Leaning towards the X5. If the German mark wasn't so strong against the dollar I would get the Logo.
