My question is in the subject
Want to have something like 1:12 scale. Is it approx 600 size?
Or is just 600 size fuselages made to fit the 600 helis? like it say, 600 size ? So them all are that size, fuselages are not bigger / smaller than other fuselages in 600 size like real life helis?

If so, where can I get fuselages for helis in scale?
Will like to have a few in 1:12, anything bigger will be kinda HUGE! :O

thanks.

A 600 size fuse is just that, a 600 size fuse. The scale is figured up by the size of the real one compaired to the body modeled after it.

Most 50 (600 size) fuses are approx 1/6th scale and are in the 54-58 inch long range (depending on which fuse you look at).

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

best way to find out is to pick a fuse you like, find the specs on the real subject and get the fuselage lenght (without rotors running)
convert to inches (or whatever units you wish)
take the real size and devide by the model size, this will give you the scale of the model.

example: century 600 size jet ranger

model fuse length is 50"
real fuse lenth is 31' 2" or 374"

347"/50"= 7.48 or about 1/7.5 scale

Did that with a lot of them, but only spec i found on wikip. when I searched for the real thing was 'lenght with both motor running', and I guess that is from the tup of the main blad when it's all the way up front and the end uf the tail blad when that point straight backwards?...and the lenght on the fuse's I'm looking at is without blades...

I know what you mean, that is why I mentioned it.
I have been looking for drawings with dimensions to find my specs.
Do you have a helicopter in mind? Or are you just looking around
If we knew what you are looking for we could help

Sea King
Century makes a Sea King fuselage that is 54 inches long and the actual Sea King lists at 54 feet 9 inches- Pretty close to 1/2 I'd say.
