Democrats caused the housing crash. Democrats raided your social security. Yes we got change alright. 3.3 million jobs lost in 2 years, Immigration, housing mess, involuntary health care, exploding national debt, jobs going overseas from democrat supported unions and your disappearing social security raided for 3 trillion.. Thank a democrat. For preemptive wars thank Bush. Bush had 8 trillion dollars in national debt when he left office.
When Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) gave her inaugural address as speaker of the House in 2007, she vowed there would be “no new deficit spending.” Since that day, the national debt has increased by $5 trillion, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.
“After years of historic deficits, this 110th Congress will commit itself to a higher standard: Pay as you go, no new deficit spending,” Pelosi said in her speech from the speaker’s podium. “Our new America will provide unlimited opportunity for future generations, not burden them with mountains of debt.”
Pelosi has served as speaker in the 110th and 111th Congresses.
“Our new America will provide unlimited opportunity for future generations, not burden them with mountains of debt.”- Nancy Pelosi, 2007 inauguration speech.

January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At that time:
DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
Unemployment rate was 4.6%
The 2007 Annual Budget deficit was $161.5 Billion dollars.
Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
ON THAT DAY, JANUARY 3RD 2007:
Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee.
Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!!!
The Current Annual Budget deficit is $1.5 Trillion Dollars.
THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ! (BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was Financially risky for the US economy):
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac???? OBAMA !
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie??? OBAMA.

Question: Which Political Party took Social Security from the Independent “Trust Fund” and put it into the General Fund so that Congress could spend it?

William Jefferson Clinton

Democrat Term of Office: January 20, 1993 to January 20, 2001

Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. (Al Gore), 45th. Vice President

Democrat Term of Office: January 20, 1993 to January 20, 2001

Question: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?

Answer: The Democratic Party, with Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. (Al Gore) [Vice President Term of Office: January 20, 1993 to January 20, 2001] casting the “tie-breaking” deciding vote as

President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US .

James Earl Carter, Jr (Jimmy Carter), 39th. President, Democrat, Term of Office: January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981

Answer: That’s right! James Earl Carter, Jr. (Jimmy Carter) (Democrat, Term of Office: January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981) and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!

You got that right.

The RINOs are as bad as the Democrats. And speaking of the Democrats, I think the Tea Party is about 12% Democrats. The Independents, the Republicans, and yes, the Democrats that want to save this country are supporting the Tea Party.

2001-2007. The best earnings of my lifetime. Bar none.
The last 4 years have left me hovering just above homelessness.
The last 4 months have been steadily improving in spite of the attempts from the left and especially Obama, to kill the recovery.

How can you blame a political party for the crash of an economy? During 2004 - 2007 this country was building to much, people were buying what they could not afford. They were not doing that because a political party said to. The collapse of our economy was the peoples fault. Instead of trying to pass the blame, people need to stand up and accept their own mistakes. The government had little to do with the collapse.

Why do you think there are empty buildings all over, because people kept building when there was no demand. Look how many car options a person had, the auto industry was pushing the "Keep America building" motto, even thought there were no buyers for all the cars being made. Banks were giving loans to people that could not afford them, in this instance the bank is partially to blame, but the majority of it lands on the idiot that took out a loan they knew they could not afford.

Stop blaming the government and accept that this was brought on by the people. Typical political b.s., blame the other side, that is the easy thing to do.

Ummm, wrong!!!! Who's brilliant idea was it that "every American that wants a home, should have one"???? Bill Clinton.
Who changed the banking laws allowing banks to make such stupid loans??? Frank and Dodd. I blame Bush because he didn't veto that crap. So yes, there's blame there as well.
I design homes, have been for 25 years. During the above said period, I rented space from one of my builders/clients, who also rented space to a small mortgage company, in order to present themselves as a kind of one stop shop. You wouldn't believe the dregs that filled that office every single day for 2-3 years. I mean people that I doubt even HAD a job. Yet, they almost always managed to get a mortgage for a brand new house.
Those banking laws caused this (as well as individuals no doubt) and those laws were written by the Dems. Period.

The blame is on the person that asked for the loan. They knew they could not afford the loan yet they still accepted the loan. They are to blame. It is just like blaming McDonalds for making America fat, it is not their fault, it is the fault of the people that ate the food.
I noticed that most of the time, not all the time, that you have no clue what you are talking about.

yes, you ARE right in that aspect Psycho...no doubt. But that would be like the LIBS giving out free crack and then absolving them of any responsibility for creating millions of addicts. Some regulation is good. The problem is they regulate that which doesn't require it and neglect the things that do....to the extreme. For that, they deserve blame. And it's not 100% on the Dems, we all realize that.
