I was about to buy one and then I thought, what am I doing. I wanted to move the AR bracket to the rear, install a BL motor, install a third bearing and have replaceable canopy pins. I did this all with a standard frame that I have modded using parts from a trashed frame. Maybe I'm not cool because I don't have a bling frame, but I have extra bucks in my pocket.

The metal anti rotation bracket is less the useless. It bends every time it hits the ground. Not sure who long it will last.

I'm one of the knuckle heads that threw cash into a CF frame and brushless mod, just to watch my XP7A ESC catch fire. That's right it caught fire. Luckly, I had the canopy off when it happened. The FET developed a white spot then caught fire.

But, the CF frame didn't melt. Maybe that's a good thing.

Sorry to hear that your ESC burnt up. I take it that the FET that developed a white spot and then fire was on the ESC. I will keep an eye on mine, thanks for the heads up.

I used the original AR bracket and just installed it to the rear of the stock frame. I even added a rear AR pin to a stock swash.

Here is another mod I will do to the stock frame. I just spent ten minutes on my hands and knees looking for the bottom bearing that flew off. I will now glue a thread across the main frame tube to hold it in. I suppose a person could just glue the outer race to the frame.

I spent the $45 on the microheli frame. I was tired of having to grind and the stock frame out for the brushless motor.
I don't care about bling but I do care about what works. I was not disappointed. What made it worth it was eliminating the flismy tail boom holder needing boom braces. Totally fly's like a different heli.
Only two "upgrades" that are worth the money, carbon frame and metal swash. Brushless conversion can be lived without, but not a waste of money.
Eventually you wake up and realize you have a $700 MCPX
