I am FINALLY getting an airplane! I'm going to put my 50 sx-h in it and want to make sure I'm getting the right prop adaptor. I think it's this part:

I'm going by the info on this page:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...S-Drive-Washer.

I'm putting this in an Alpha 40. And can anyone recommend a muffler?

That prop driver says it's for the 50sx-h in the product description. What's the question?

Did you already buy the Alpha 40 trainer? If not, I'd advise not buying any trainer. If you can fly a helicopter, then you've already outgrown a trainer plane. Unless you're either really, really old, or really really young, skip the trainer.

You'll have more fun with something like THIS. Or any sport plane, really.
The Escapade is a good sport plane and a good first plane for just about everyone.

I was posting to make sure they have it right and I order the right prop adaptor. Just double checking when I can. Dood, can you recommend a muffler too for my 50sx-h?

As far as the trainer, I want to start with it. I keep hearing the, "if you can fly a helicopter you can fly a plane thing" but I still want to get my feet wet with a trainer and already ordered from the local hobby shop.

I could have titled this better I see now. It sounds like I'm asking if I should use a prop or drive washer. I really meant am I ordering the right thing.

That is the correct drive washer and it comes with the woodruff key, as well.

Don't forget to get one of these --

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...09003&search=Go

the prop washer that goes between the prop nut and the front of the prop's hub.

OS PN for the drive washer is 27708010, for the woodruff key is 27708200, and for the prop washer, 23209003.

Also, don't forget the small, flat thrust washer that may or may not still be on your motor --

OS PN 46120000.

You can have some fun with a trainer, but i have to agree, they fly like crap and get outgrown way too fast even for some who have never flown anythng before. I taught a dozen or so guys to fly planks. Now that many have simulators and X box etc... the trainer does a lot more to hold them back than it does to help. Might be worthwhile asking if the shop if it is too late to change up to something else. A trike Stick perhaps? you will never out grow that, and it is easy to fly and land with. The first radio control i ever landed was a Stick, it was easy, and i still fly a stick...

Just be sure to have someone good fly it for the first time... maybe buddy box for the first flight or so...
