It's good that Justin is experiencing and enjoying RC planes. I started in RC with my dad when I was around 10 years old. There were no helis back then. By age 15 I got bored with planes. Girls were of much more interest to me by then. I soon stopped this great father and son activity we call RC. It took 25 years before I got back into it - after seeing an RC heli doing 3D.

I guess Justin is discovering there is more to life than just RC helis. Variety keeps a person interested in our hobby. Good for him and nice flying!

Actually, he started with airplanes. He got bored with them at 3 1/2 when he learned how to hover, torque roll, and do rolling harrier. He then went to helis for two years and rediscovered airplanes at around 6. He then flew mostly helis for 2 years.

It seems to follow about 2 year cycle.

I also go back and fourth between helis and planes on approx a 2 year cycle as well. Get bored with one, go fly the other for a season.

Planes were actually very helpful for me learning helis. I practiced my nose in with planes first and then on helis as it was more forgiving to mistakes.

Says it right there at the beginning of the video....

The Pilot RC planes have a spectacular reputation for producing a lightweight, but very strong, and excellent 3D performer.

I love watching Justin fly. Doesn't matter what he's flying. I just love watching him do it. His variety of moves and ability to do them both directions is amazing.

High Voltage just works better

Cool Benny, but his heli videos are ten times more exciting indeed. Glad he is having fun, that's the key.
