In Anaheim now on vacation and need to find a good heli shop...I've google but the last r/c shop we went here was a HobbyTown USA and it was a joke compared to the one back home that actually carries HELI'S. We our also traveling to LA too so any help from anyone around these parts would be helpful and appreciated

RC Depot in Westminster is a good heli only shop (Westminster Blvd & 405 freeway).

Gyro Hobbies on Lake Forest and the 5 in Lake Forest is a good all around heli shop.

RC Depot is north of you and Gyro is south.

Both are just off the Freeway.

i can't believe you guys would miss the two most exciting things in Anaheim...

The BIG A, home of the Angels

The Corporate HQ for Carl's Jr

I hear that somewhere else in the city is this place called Disneyland. It is of some importance to me since my son works there.

Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair is closest to Chino Hills, they have a some pretty good heli pilots behind the counter.

If you want to get away from the standard tourist stops:

Huntington Museum in San Marino
Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena
LA County Art Museum
LA Brea tar pits
Museum of Science and Industry
Canter's restaurant
UCLA
Santa Monica Pier/ Newport Beach Pier/ Huntington Beach Pier
Santa Barbara
Getty Museum
Olvera Street
Dodger Stadium/ Chinatown
LA County Zoo
Tommys (the original)
Griffith Park Observatory
Sepulveda Basin Flying Field - if you want to experience what a human zoo actually looks like.
Mount Wilson (very nice mountain drive)

Have fun, there's lots to do..

Stop in at Gyro Hobbies on your way back up from Sea World. They are open until 7. Get off the 5 freeway at Lake Forest and turn left. Go to the second light, turn left (at the Shell station) and turn right immediately into the business park on the right side across from the Shell station. Gyro is half way down facing Lake Forest. They have soldering stations they use to help customers out.

It's either 90 or 5 or 0... The key is to plan your work and home locations to avoid the interstates.

90 MPH
you must have been on the 20 mile stretch between oceanside and

san clemente ,

if you go on the other side of the mountains to hwy 15 you can do 100 +

depends on time of day though.
