OK I am 65 and fly mostly helis but here is a picture of my jet flown at the old age of 64. That Pic was taken right after the maiden flight and the turbine is still running.

How do you like your springer harley?

I`ve heard it`s not good for a long ride like a touring bike , is that true or false?

I`ve got a roadking myself that i love

Never had a touring bike, but I would guess my springer is not nearly as comfortable. I did make a more comfortable seat than the original, but it is pretty much an 'old school' style bike, no comfort frills. (I did add a short windshield).
I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

58 in 3 months. RC/control line since I was 12. This is me at the young age of 52. I have since quit that kind of bad behavior (2002 Honda RC51). Hence, Mike0251. Still ride it on the street.

I hear you loud and clear. Scares me to death when the wife and I go out on the Goldwing. However I do live out in the country so traffic is at a bare minimum and the roads are such if your texting you won't make it 50 feet...lmao! The track was good a ride for 6 years, balls to the wall too. Then I got scared and quit after the first session one day and never went back. I am in one piece and thankful for the time there.

ScottS,

I thought mine (FSXST) was great on long trips. My friend and I rode from Central Fl. up to Milwaukee for the 100 year anniversary. I think we did something like 4500 miles on that trip.

The only gripe I originally had about the springer was it steers a little funny until you get used to it. Basically because the wheel axle is offset to the turn axis.

Like GyroFreak, I bought a Mustang seat and that made the biggest difference.

Sold it at 85000 miles and bought a Limited! Love that one now....

61 Here...
Been flying heli's since 1991...the changes to the machines and equipment are nothing short of amazing, and I plan on flying until someone pry's the tx out of my hands!!!
Never flew 3D.. more of an old style pattern flier and that is how I have flown the heli's..
I got into scale in about 2004 and in 2007 competed in my first NATS in Scale Helicopter.. missed 2010 while the doc's beat on me..
And was able to make 3rd then 2nd and then in 2012 took a first place with my 1/4 scale Bell 47 (I am very proud of that piece of wood!!!!)... it is 11-9' long with the blades out straight, so I can still see it...from the sounds of it, I can hope to have quite a few more years at this great hobby..
On a side note, I started flying at 8 years old on control line.. got my first RC plane in 1969...
Still having fun and have met and made a LOT of friends from all over the world.. it is a great hobby to have..

Stan

Notice how the old farts really ramble on and on!!!
