Boogie it comes with tape needed. Basically you can use thin tape yes.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

This is my first go with Vbar and just got my Silverline in the mail. If I knew that Mikado gave a chocolate bar with every Vbar unit, I would have started right off with them!
I didn't get any chocolate with mine!
Hmmmm, I've been ripped off! :/

Spektrum Telemetry
How many of you guys are running telemetry with the Spektrum TM1100/TM1000 on their electrics?

- How accurate is the RPM from these on electrics?

- Is it compatible with the V Bar?

It's very accurate, but it won't pull any info from the vBar. You'll need to run a separate RPM sensor to the telemetry to make it work, or split off an existing sensor's signal wire. If you are using the vBar with satellites you'll only get the voltage on the servo bus relayed down to you and the strength of the telemetry link. You won't get any other info (like fades, holds, or the strength of the Spektrum link).

I got my TM1000 working on my vbar yesterday. Haven't flown it yet only turned the motor over to verify I was getting RPMs in both the v-bar, using spektrum sensor for gov. and on the TX.

V Bar Gov with Heli Jive
How many of you guys are running V Bar Gov with a Heli Jive? I've read this on some sites selling the Heli Jive:

"Running the HELI JIVE in mode 8 (external governor) together with the current version of Mikado VBAR may cause problems in certain constellations. Currently, KONTRONIK as well as Mikado are working on a solution for this issue."

Is this still an issue?

5.3 on the Vstabi site states this:

"Improved dynamic behaviour of the governor

Rapid load changes can create head speed wags and peaks. A better design of the compensation helps reducing these effects."

Does this relate?

No, that heli jive info is old info, which was about v10 of HeliJive, fixed in v11.

However, do note, only Pyro is allowed with Mode 8 to keep the warranty.

Update
Thanks Mel. That's taken directly off the Helidirect website sales page for the V11 Heli Jive. It does go on to state more info can be found on the Kontronik website, but it's still confusing.
