you kidding? I could have used this last week when I got my nitro too far down range and got disoriented. I rescued it purely by accident about 10' off the ground with full collective....

This return-home thing could be _way_ useful and $-saving...

Self leveling on a nitro does not work that well because of vibrations.

Why? for the 1/10 th percent of the ppl who would need it. Only usefulness is for learning. If you want self leveling get the new align system
are you kidding me, nobody has any idea how well align's self-leveling is going to work but i wouldn't bet alot that it's going to work anywhere as good as the best self-leveling champ the HeliCommand HC3-SX........

My point was not who had a better self leveling. It was there really no reason for V-stabi to invest R&D time in a feature that very few 3d pilots actual would use.

I just don't think its such a great feature.

Is that a 3m red tape that comes with silver sensor?

Looks like it, i used it although i normally use 4010, left the plate on as well, hangover from the Black sensor, couldnt see what harm it would do.

It's not the 3M tape it's more "foamy" and the other side has a gray peel back.

Im looking at both and cant tell the difference.
The grey backing would be needed as the stuff on the roll only has backing on one side.

Sensor envy?? well i woundn't say that as it looks smaller than the other sensor but don't worry i won't tell the girls and besides that i hear girls tell guys all the time (not me of course) that size doesn't matter so you should be alright.

well if your way of thinking is the same as v-stabi is and all they care about is 3D pilots then there is no way it will be unstoppable as there are alot of people that really like self-leveling, there is alot more people who aren't "3D pilots" then there are of pilots that really are 3D pilots and v-stabi will miss out on alot sales.......

after all if align is doing it there has got to be a butt load of money there for the taking !!!

Well haven't seen to much success from aligns fbl systems, sure it's an option but only align electronics that are worth guving a go are their latest motors.

well i can't argue that, but they must be moving a fair amount of their electronics stutt, at least enough to make it worth their while or why would they still be r&d-ing and making new stuff ?

Alright, you dudes quit buying those new sensors. Now they're out of stock again and I can't get one lol.

As for align electronics, I agree that the motors are quite fine. Cheap but seem to last a long time and make gobs of power. I've also had good luck with their servos (after an initial suspicion of a problem with the 750, but that turned out to be a false alarm). Another really good bang/buck item.
And the little regulators have actually not ever given me any trouble either. You don't want to use them on a high-current draw FBL system, but they're dandy on a flybar setup.

But agree also that I've never heard a good thing at all about the 3G or 3GX....
