Need Gasser throttle curve Help
would someone explane the proper way to set up a gasser throttle curve. My nitro experience is not working for me here. My Helibug is running a cgy-750 and 8fg.

the curve I have set is:

N) 15, 28, 36.5, 44, 100
I1) 100, 40, 30, 40, 100

that is with ATV of 80/80.

If I were to redo it I'd get the ATV over 100 and the points less than 100 would increase some

my gear ratio is about the same, and my curve in normal 21, 25, 37.5, 50, 62.5, 75, 100 and in idle up I went for a straight "v"
100, 75, 62.5, 50, 62.5, 75, 100.

that worked for me so far, I'm running a gv-1 and haven't had any problems with these setting yet, but I'm still learning
2-stroke is no joke.

Sounds to me like you're too high on the throttle curves especially in idle up. If you were to turn off the gv-1 in flight you might find that you have a runaway engine at such high throttle settings.

Just a thought to check it, and the right curve according to your geometry is to have the engine slow down just a bit when you turn off the governor to test your curves.

don't know the answer, just asking. aren't the throttle curves also dependent on how you tuned your engine as well as your pitch curves and maybe even the radio?

wondering because i just moved from a dx7 to dx8 used the same curves from the dx7 had a hs of 1350 on the dx7 but had a hs of 1550 on the dx8

i marked my throttle servo arm so i know i put it in the exact same place as the dx7 set up.

dropped my curves on the dx8 to:

norm 01,08,18,36,50
idle1 48,36,18,36,48
idel2 50,38,18,38,50

i was able to drop the hs to 1450 with these new curves, which is still as i want to be at 1350.

i changed my pitch curves a little, but have not had a chance to see what it does to the hs

the color on my spark plug is the toasted brown that it semes like everyone is shooting for

my dx7 curves were
norm 01,16,24,44,62
idle1 62,44,24,44,62
idel2 62,44,24,44,62

Should I use the inner most hole on my servo wheel?
I am going to make a longer throttle linkage, currently i am 15mm out on the servo wheel. Any 700 Helibug owners whould you tell me what your throttle linkage lenth is and how far out from center is your link?
Peace Out BOBBY D.

You can use 2-56 threaded rod and make any length rod you may need. I usually double lock two nuts in the middle for easier adjustments and then cover the threads with shrink wrap to make it look nice.

Depending on the brand of arms, the inner hole may not give enough travel on the throttle servo. 15mm is too much, it seems like around 7/16 is close to where you will end up.
