Fast system receiver antena's and carbon fiber?
How close can i get to carbon fiber with the receiver antena's? Need to convert a heli from Spec to Futaba and the original position of the receiver is heavily surounded by carbon [including a carbon canopy].

The original set-up used a satelite on the boom to get away from the heavy carbon environment.

"please post pics if you have any as pics tell a 1000 words in this case"

Keep in mind that the actual antenna is the bare wire looking portion. The rest (grayish) is shielded coaxial cable.

This photo shows how I did the antennas on my Trex 550E. You can put the antenna inside a plastic tubing, or fuel tubing, with no worries.

And truth be told I have my antennas taped to the outside of a carbon/kevlar fuse on my electric glider. 3.2 meter span and I can fly it to the limits of my eyesight. But there is nothing wrong with trying to optimize the installation when you can.AMA Leader Member
