RX Switch
Looking for ideas for a reliable RX switch, I had an Emcotec micro regulator/rx switch fail on me recently. I do like the idea of being able to turn the RX with a magnet but am wary of replacing like with like.
Any ideas welcome

+1 on perfect regulator switch

Im using http://www.perfectregulators.com/in...t&product_id=82

and I am very happy with it. It has very low voltage loss accross the switch as opposed to standard switches.

I still use a micro swithc for radio shack for a remote switch

Thanks for the info guys, I have a couple of these left over from another project, I can use them in conjunction with the Perfect twin regulator for the tail and lighting rig. Do you find them reliable?
Would you have a link for that radio shack switch?

Never had any issues with Futaba/JR or Duralite HD switches (and the Duralite ones can have a regulator with them).Team Synergy/Rail, Team Scorpion, YS Engines, VelTye

I have been using the Perfect Regulator switch also and it has worked great, I use a servo extension with a homemade bind plug to turn it off, just make a jumper across the 2 outside wires to turn it off.

Have you considered an HV setup powered by a 2S lipo? I think that's the most reliable option.

In fact I just replaced my WR Super BEC with a 2S setup just to alleviate the possibility of a failed BEC. I know they are great BEC, but it's more risky than using a receiver pack.

Hi Robv,
I use 2s A123 pack unregulated with a Perfect duo to give me 5 volt for the tail servo and lighting.
My idea in going to Emcotec micro was to give me a regulated supply to the HC3SX using Spektrum satellites.
This is the second Emcotec piece of equipement to fail so I am not to keen on going there again.
In all fairness to Emcotec I use their power switches to isolate the ESC from the battery and they work to perfection, seems they have problems with their miniaturized gear.
I have now setup my AS350 using the Perfect switch and duo regulator so look forward to the next fine day.
Many thanks for all the suggestions I have received, as usual the guys on this forum give some great advise.
