If you can't find the motor you want then just make one !
Having a Mini Protos kind of limits the choice of motor available Soooo, i bought a hacker a20-6xl 10 pole as it had the same diameter shaft going thru the bearings and i wanted the use the one piece long shaft MSH has BUT hold the fort, when i pressed the shaft out it turns out than hacker in there infinite wisdom chose to install the shaft in a hole that was too big for a normal size shaft to be pressed back in without what it seems like epoxy to hold it centered in the cans endbell !!!

well that just plain sucks !!! but undeterred i keeped the stator assy and chucked the hacker can with the hole too large to ever hold a shaft centered in the dead motor drawer but not before pulling a few magnets and then checking the hacker magnets with a gauss meter for magnet field strenth, then i went back to the dead motor drawer and pulled out two scropion 2221 type motor cans plus i very old sonix OT-BL450 can, i then pulled all the magnet out from both cans and chucked the two scropion cans in the trash as they had some crash damage anyways, i then compared the scorpion magnets against the hacker magnets and guess what i found out..................long dramatic pause...............sure enough the scorpion magnets are stronger than the hacker magnets which makes me believe that there claim that there magnets are N-50EH style is no line, but i digress, back to the custom motor build, next i took the sonix can and installed the scorpion magnets in a 10 pole arrangement like the hacker can only with stronger magnets as seen in the pic below, next i pressed in a new MSH long motor shaft (unlike the piece of #$&% hacker can, the shaft must be pressed in) and balanced the motor can, just one more digression before i move on, there is one thing i found out while doing this motor build, the hacker motor i started with unlike all the 450 size motors i had seen or read about, they all have two bearings for the motor shaft BUT the hacker a-20 EOS type motor has THREE bearings ! one on the output end and TWO in the inside ! anyways back to the custom motor, the last thing needed was to carefully slide the can back onto the stator assy not letting the powerfull magnet slam the two assys together, hook her up to a ESC and give her a spin, SUCCESS !!!

i think i've got a real monster on my hands but i'll know more when i install it in my Mini Protos and really do some in flight testing, i'll have to get back to you on that but right at the moment it seems like a winner !
