Trex 700 nitro help
Just got YS91 installed in my Trex 700.
I have several questions:
1. I currently run 20% 20% (blue) Byron fuel. Hobby shop helped me with tuning, but said it was the first YS they set up to run on this fuel. Can anyone give me their feedback and or optimum tuning for using this fuel?
2. My Heli tail when in hover it tends to bounce from side to side every once in a while -doesn't seem to happen when flying though. Changed the tail arm, and hardware and cleaned the arm link, and all run smooth like it should. Using Align Gyro (my machine is flybar). Was told reason for bouncing could be combination of engine tune/fuel, just trial and error.
We did play with Gyro gain and it is set up right.
Any idea....?
3. Does anyone know if it's possible to use the glue-on Governor reader at the bottom of this engine, or is it not possible because of the pressure release line coming under the engine block...?
I appreciate any help!

I have a Spektrum back plate sensor on my OS91HZ-PS which I think is a very similar engine.

I literally never use the word literally right.

Tail wag can very well be the engine missing from time to time from bad tune or bad fuel.

Too lean usually.

You get more power from a fat tune than a lean one so make her smoke and get a temperature of about 180-190 degrees at the top of the head.

Thanks for the replies!

Would definitely like to see the tail move go away...

Other suggestions to consider...?

I had the same thing on my 700. Changed all the obvious things to no evail. Then replaced bearings in clutch stack and been perfect since.

The GP780 just does that. A slow wag of the tail as if the gain is too low, no matter how much gain you use. Replacement is the only really reliable option for fixing it.

For the 700N if you need a governor, the GY701 is the way to go. If you already have a governor or don't use one, the BeastX with the adapter for tail-only use is probably the best tail gyro you can buy...
