Tarot ZYX sensitive sticks
Can someone tell me how to soften up the TX controls with the Tarot ZYX....soooo sensitive.

I have 40 % expo on the Aileron and Elevator....24% on the rudder.

Is there something else I can do ?

Thanx

Yeah you need to decrease the "Acceleration" of both the roll and pitch motion.

If your tail is to touchy youcan do the same to the left and right pirouette.

Thanx for your reply.

Do you mean to decrease the accel. in the swash tuning menu ?

I see most people have it set at the default 125....is this the setting you say should be lower ?

Thanx

Yes in the swash tuning.

If you are doing extreme hardcore 3D then you only want it at about 80.

I am flying it on 3 scale helis and have mine set at 20 , however I have my "roll & pitch I gain" set to 125.
This will give it a more locked in feel , as it is equivalent to the attitude hold gain of the roll and pitch axis.

Hope this helps

Sorry....I haven't graduated to 3-D flying yet....so the default setting of 125 is where I should be for acceleration ?

No!!

If you are just learning or just want the sticks to be less sensitive then lower ( decrease ) the "Acceleration" of both the roll and pitch.

This will give you a much more comfortable feel and less sensitive sticks.

The default setting is for doing hardcore 3D not a comfortable feel.

Also increase your "I gain" like I said , if you do this it will help you greatly.

Tarot ZYX sensitive sticks
I just installed the Tarot ZYX-S on my Align 450 Sport with the DFC head. All the mechanical set up appears to be correct. I also followed the advice to soften the stucks by changing the I gain settings. That helped a lot... thanks.
The problem I have now is that when I lift off and get into a hover, sometimes the heli starts to shake violently, but I can land it ok. If I lift off again, all is normal then the shaking starts all over again.
I used the setup software from John NZ for my initial settings.

Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated. I've been fighting with this for over a week and getting ready to put the original flybar and gyro back on. Not sure if it's me, the ZYX or my heli or a combination of them.

Thanks shawmcky... I'll try your suggestions. Remounting the gyro with two layers of tape on the bottom frame. Fits nicely and should be more stable. I had it mounted under the middle frame tray with the receiver on top with one layer of tape. Will try it tomorrow. Thanks for your suggestions. I've used John's software to set it up. Also will lower the gains on aile and elev and let you know how it works.

My honey bee king is on a homemade FBL head and all analogue servos, these servos would not set the world on fire with their speed.Faster servos might need the gains down a bit more.Team- unbiased opinion.K.I.S.S principle upheld here
