GY750
I'm new to FBL and I have a question. When I power up my GY750 the screen flashes the 3 different gains. My question is it shows 65% for the rudder (same as my radio) but 0% for the AIL and ELE. I have these gains at 60% on my radio just to see if it works. Do I actually have to set them on the GY750?

Are you using your 8FG?

If so, the gains are all set from the transmitter.
My guess is that the function assignments for channels 9 and 10 are not correct in the transmitter.

If the Ail/Ele gains are set to INH within the CGY750, [S.Bus]->Basic setting menu, then the remote transmitter gain is not available and the actual working gain is set by using data [+] or [-] keys within this setting menu.

Or you could set the channels to remote transmitter gain by switching it from INH to whatever channel your transmitter gains are.

The other thing that can cause that is if the S.Bus cyclic gain adjustment channels are not assigned to the correct transmitter channels.

I think I see my problem. Rstacy where you have gyro 2 and 3 my radio has v1 and v2 in front of them. Where yours says channel 9 and 10. I have an 8fg as well that's updated to the 3.0. Do I need to actually change them to 9 and 10? If so I'm gonna have to figure out how to do that????

Can't remember back to 3.0 but go ahead and update to the latest 8FG software. Easy way to check is go to the gyro page and if there isn't 3 gains listed there, you don't have the latest software. Then the channel assignment in the CGY-750 must match the channel assignment in the 8FG for the gains to work.Team Synergy/Rail, Team Scorpion, YS Engines, VelTye

You need to
a) have latest software (or which one it was where the cgy was released)
b) select MLT2 under Frequency

MrMel you were absolutely correct on the frequency change. One more question, can anyone give me a good starting point on setting the aileron and elevator gains? My heli is a 30 sized nitro. Kyosho Caliber 4. Thanks for all the info.

Starting at 50% should be good.

Look down and find the V1.2 tips thread for more set up guidelines.

50% is a reasonable starting point for cyclic gains, but the model is not going to fly well until the gains exceed 65%.

Let me know if you need further assistance.
