Faster flips and rolls ?
Just got the Lil guy and used the recommended radio settings in the manual on my DX6i, whats the best way to get quicker flips and rolls ? the servos seem to move slow. Anyone try to fly it with 0 expo ?

Did you try setting your ATVs on aileron and elevator to 115 or 120 at percent? I am running mine at 115 and it seemed to help out.

Try some negative expo. In stunt mode I'm 100% dual rate and 5% expo and it flips pretty dang fast. That's on a 100% throttle curve

Thanks for the tips fellas ! I changed the travel adjust to 125 on ail and elevator and reduced the expo to 10 %. I might try the neg. expo today Evan but at some point it might make it impossible to fly

If I go brushless the increase in headspeed should make it alot more responsive and quicker.

The best thing about this thing is you can crash with so little damage that it makes affordable to almost everyone. Fun without the rediculous costs associated with the bigger helis. I've spent my fair share and its quite refreshing

I agree in 30 crashes all I've spent is 11 bucks in repairs

just keep in mind that the higher the headspeed you use, the less crash resistant the heli will be.big ben - e550 fbl - DX6

Makes perfect sense Ben, I think I will just leave it as it is and not go brushless.

actually, what i did was upgrade to a bl that is roughly about the same power as the stock motor, maybe a bit stronger. this way you dont have to worry about the motor wearing out but you can use the standard tail and not have to alter the pitch curve too much.

it also survives crashes about the same, which is the #1 reason why i like the mcpx so much. you can also detune a stronger bl setup for about the same stock headspeed, then use a swash to throttle mix for faster cyclic for flips and such.

off the subject...i see the mail man!! new hyperions for me!!!
