I would never use red loctite on my feathering shaft screws. I dont see any need for red loctite use on a rc heli, blue is sufficient for these applications."R.I.P Roman" Citizen 0094 in the Nation

I bought a used head that was fully assembled. The guy must have use red loctite on the feathering shaft. Nothing would get those screws to break loose. I ended up drilling the head of one of the screws off to remove it. That was a pain in the(you know).Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

I have used red locktite for many years on helis. Tail hub screws are one place I have used it, but I have also used it on other screws. If you use it correctly it has it's place.

I always use blue. I've had times where it was hard just getting the screw out with blue. I have heard of rare cases where someone might use red if they have a problem with a certain component on nitro's.Trex 700E / Trex 500 ESP - Ikon/ HD 500 - Ikon 2/ Goblin 500 Ikon 2
