More coming...

Info
$10 Landing fee
$5 Lunch
At least 4 flight stations and a hover area
All levels of pilots welcomed.

Unfortunately the State Park will not allow camping but we have worked hotel deals and I have posted more info below.

But don't let no camping keep you from attending. Bring the family and enjoy great flying and friends in Southern Maryland. The field is close to Naval Air Station Patuxent River which has a great Naval Air Museum with a ton of History and Heritage. Solomons Island is about 15 minutes away and we are also about an hour drive from DC.

I will edit this post as more info is available or with any changes.

All levels of pilots are welcomed and we were all there once, too. Have a safe trip up and we'll see you when you get here.

Less than a week away and the forecast is looking good so far. Sunny and mid 80's with 5-10 mph winds.

Friday night?
I am driving up from Durham and should arrive around 6 PM Friday. Is the field open and may I set up a canopy then or should I wait and arrive at the field Saturday morning? I know the actual event is Sat/Sun but wasn't sure if the local club members will be there Friday.

Looking forward to it. Should have the 600 I wrecked Friday in Virginia fixed and am bringing lots of batteries!

It will be open flying Friday depending on weather. You might have to share the field with the fixed wing folks if they're there. As far as leaving a tent up Friday, I don't see an issue but the club will not take any responsibility of damage or theft. Only thing I would say is keep an eye on the weather since they are forecasting thunderstorms on Friday. If anything, you can pull the cover off and leave the frame.

No problem. I doubt I will fly Friday but just wanted to check out the field and maybe get canopy set up. I usually take the top off at night but some places won't allow even that. I assume all risk of damage or theft, it's just a convenience thing.... I always respect the home club rules and everyone's right to fly.

MHA and Baltimore gang, you guys are a trip. You are all more than welcome to come back down and fly. AmazingMrD, Great meeting you and keep up the great flying. Hope you have a safe trip back to NC. Had a great time
Thanks again Chad for your all your hard work organizing the event and for helping me with my setup and gyro issues. It was nice to meet you and also the non-heli club members who came out to support the event and provide moral support. I think everyone enjoyed it and got a good bit of flying in.
