I will look in to that. I'm down to a two min flight, but it's a cool two min. I think I'm going with the skids from the kit.

I just did my second mod. Had a small crash and the main gear popped off. The bearing was also missing so I did a complete search for it but came up empty. Went to the LHS and they sold me the wrong bearings. I dug into my spare parts bins and found a better bearing that has a shoulder on it. I filed the inside of the bearing shaft till it fit. I did find the original bearing, well at least a part of it. It had disintegrated and a little piece was still inside of the shaft.

I also bought a 500mah battery and am now getting 10 min flights.

You using this lipo 500 mah lipo on a stock bird? If so can she flip at all or is it just a lead sled? I have wondered how it would work on a stock heli or for that matter with my C05 brushless which is nice but not a huge power improvement over stock.
Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

The battery is a E-flight1s 3.7v 500mah 12c. It is the same width, thickness is maybe 2mm more than the stock battery but it is 19mm longer. I am only flying in my yard right now so I have to contend with a lot of trees. I haven't tried any loops. I will go to the park now that I have enough batteries to justify the trip and try some aerobatics. The bird still seems agile with the 500 in it.

Thanks for the offer BigBen, I'm good right now with the mod and will order the bearings along with other backup parts.

Not a mod but solves a lot of problems taking off from a grass field. The bird kept getting caught in the grass. Just a container top and some sandpaper.

Good idea helibeast! I'm always looking for short grass to launch from - or the roof of my car if nothing else. hahaa

Just flew five batteries at lunch in my M5 bird.. 15-20mph wind, was real fun. It's awesome watching the AS3X do it's thing in the wind. I love this little helo!! Can't wait till the parts for my TA915 bird are in!!

That is one of the things I love about this bird, it can still get in trouble. When it gets in trouble, you are learning. Last night I flew over the house(I would never let that happen with a bigger bird) and it was going for a tree. I hit hold and walked around the house to pick it up off the ground, zero damage.Champion,Magic,MiniBoy,Xcell60+50,Intrepid,Intrepid Gas,Baron30,Whisper,300X,mCPXv1v2,Concept,Nexus
