motor mount for Raptor 50 conversion.
Hello. I've been searching for a mount to complete my conversion but can't find one. I'll be using a Scorpion 4025. Any help would be appreciated.

You have several options and I use two different motor mounts on my two raptor electric conversions. I should say that on my conversions I am using the clutch in the drivetrain.

The first mount was made for me by my buddy Emile (Copterdoctor) using carbon fibre sheet and two plastic square rods. basically the rods attach to the sheet from underrneath on each end. Each rod has a hole on the end for a 3mm bolt to hold it against the frame. the motor mounts onto the carbon fibre sheet lined up with the clutch.
there are pictures in my gallery of it.

the second mount was first done by another friend Wayne (Maxpilot57) using a Trex 600 motor mount mounted inside the raptor frames. the 600 mount fits perfectly inside the frames after I drilled holes on the frame sides to bolt down the mount. I them mounted the motor again using the clutch.
I have detailed pics of this method in my gallery.

Emile and Wayne have also done motor mounts using flat aluminum sheet bent into a U channel shape.

There are other ways to do it as there are many guys on this site who have done it their own way and they work also. some have used a clutch and some have not. I hope they get to pitch in here also.

good luck with your project!!

Have you made any more progress on ur conversion?
Yours should be easier to set up than mine since I retained the clutch but I fly mostly scale so it fits my style and what I am trying to accomplish.
Looking forward to seeing yours in the air.

I actually have two of these, exactly the same except one is swinging 550s and the other 600s.
If you skip me I can't play!

PJRono,
that looks really good!

I like the way you did the battery mount.
