trex 450 pro into flybarless
Has anyone turned their flybarred trex 450 pro into a flybarless system?
I already have a storm 450 3G flybarless helicopter using the walkera rx2702V 3 axis gyro/receiver. I am thinking about turning the trex 450 pro into a flybarless using the 3gx version 2.0
I have the walkera 8201 pro tx

I am sure anyone who owns a 450 Pro is flying FBL.

Bought my Pro as FB converted to FBL about year go using a BeastX and the Align head. Loved the Pro with a flybar, love it more without the FB. For the conversion I went through the heli checked all the bearings and servos. Found and replaced a couple notchy bearings and the rudder servo had a rough spot so it get new gears.

I'm using the Hitec 5056s which were well with a flybar but are not great performers with a FBL setup, could be faster. I have some MKS 95s ready to go in. That should take care if it.

I've never flown the 3GX. But in the Beastx forum there seem to be a lot of guys happy to be moving from the 3gx to the Beastx.

What else would you like to know?

I am flying the storm 450 3G with the walkera rx2702V controller.
MKS DS92A+ digital clyclics and a sm-3481m tail servo.
I basically do sport flying. The wind caught it once and it headed for the trees. I had the OH CRAP scenario and I yanked it back. I went HOLY CRAP! it shot back so damn fast it flew by me and yanked my head around. Dont know how I got it back in control but will have to say the servos react faster than I do thats for sure. Still doing some tuning on the rudder as it will glitch once in awhile and thinking I need to turn the gain down abit.
It took me awhile to figure the 2702 out but dialed in it works awesome. So much more stable than with the flybar

I've refitted it into FBL for one years with BeastX 3-axis, it is great. The 3d performance was improved much and the flying time was prolong.
