Selling My Kyosho Caliber ZG Gasser and Airfoil Mount
Hi guys,

You can check this out in the classifieds as well. Since I don't fly it anymore and we basically don't do aerial stills I might as well get rid of it. We need to upgrade some of our cameras as well, so it is time to clean house. The helicopter has never been crashed and as far as the rotor head and tail rotor go it runs glass smooth. It obviously has some motor vibrations as do all gassers. That is unavoidable. I have quite a bit of parts that go with it that are specific to the Caliber ZG. You can check out the photos of it in my gallery. The canopy is trimmed that way on the left side as I used to have a tuned pipe on this machine. If any of you have seen the Youtube video with the gasser flying the new Zenmuse camera gimbol, you probably noiticed that their gasser had a lot of vibration and was poorly set up, the engine was going up and down, (my opinion of course), but the footage was still quite good from the camera minus the up and down harmonic that was visable. I imagine that was coming from the softmount system that was employed to keep the vibrations from getting to the helicopter. Imagine what that video would have looked like with a gasser attached that runs glass smooth. I used to shoot standard def video with this machine with two different custom mounts and get really good results, so I can imagine what it would do with the Zenmuse mount.

The helicopter has Futaba S9255 and a Futaba GY520 gyro that go with it. I can also provide the the program for the Futaba 14 MZ if you own that radio.

I also have one of Airfoils camera mounts that we bought about three years ago to do panos and still photos, but we have used it very little. I have made a few mods to the mount and have also added a servo to level the horizon for taking stills as it has been my experience that self leveling mounts do everything but self level. I added a plate to the mount which allows you to fire the shutter trigger with a servo arm which you can see in the picture and there is a provision on the back side of the camera to be able to start and stop recording for video. The mount is set up around the Canon 5D Mark ll. You can also check the photos of the mount in my gallery.

They are priced together for $1850 or I will split them up. The helicopter is $1200 and the mount is $650

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thumbs up for this deal! Caliber is a fine ship and gassers aren't that bad. I've been filming with a gasser and underslung mount for years and still been able to produce decent material. For hobby use this is more than great and a good deal.

Here's a link to my old video taken with my gear. I used gyro only on one axis that time. http://vimeo.com/18268276

Cheers,
Jarno
