Powermaster vs Coolpower vs Wildcat
Hi, before i commit my self to 8 cases of fuel. I like to know what would be the popular choice right now. I almost positive i will be getting power master 15% and some 30%.

Cool power 20% works great, I can't tell the difference in it and 30% but the price.

I've used all three and would take Powermaster given the choice, but there's not a whole lot of difference between them and they all work fine. steve

Was using cp 30 and just ran out. Now i'm using Wild Cat 30 with 18 percent oil. So Far so good. I have however been using Cool Power since the 80's and never had a problem.

VP fuels bought powermaster, dare I saw they're the best :P

In all seriousness, never had sue with any brand of nitro fuel... I'll run the VP/power master though because they make the race fuel that I use in my mustang. Good enough for me

Fnity,

Powermaster went belly up. VP has no experience in model fuels, just bought what was left of Powermaster. You read that 35 years off the web site, that is the gas business big difference from RC. Gasoline and model fuels have nothing in common.

I will admit I do not know the entire history of powermaster but they have been around for a long time regardless of who owns the company...

I've been using Coolpower fuel since the 80's in low nitro form and switched to Coolpower 30% in the 90's when it became avaialble. It is in my opinion the benchmark for excellence. I wouldn't think of using any other brand of fuel.

I guess the other important factor is which fuel is easy to get locally.

Wasn't there a shortage of Coolpower there for a while? I think that's why I changed to Power Master if I remember correctly

Powermaster never went belly up. VP racing bought powermaster and hasn't changed any of the heli blends. However they have changed the rc car blends.

PowerMaster never went under. PowerMaster was bought from Wendel. And is now Texas Allied Chemicals.

PowerMaster Fuels hasn't changed there blend. All they have done is take the dye out of the fuel. Same fuel it has been for years.
