Thunder Tiger voltage regulator
Have the Align, 2 in 1 in it, but having read the negatives, I will
switch it out.
Have the Inertia 860 Gyro, rudder servo Align DS 620.

Any good/bad on the TT regulator?

Or, alternate suggestion more than welcome.

Gyro and servo are rated for 6v I think.
Have a 7.4 v Zippy 2100 Mha lipo for power.

Joel, you probably wont get any useful feedback on this matter.

I pulled the trigger on the Western Robotics Hercules.
http://helidirect.com/hercules-bec-...amp-p-10170.hdx

this is the only place that has them in stock right now. I have not read a single negative comment about it and for the price, you cant go wrong. My other choice would have been the Gryphon but $110 was more than I wanted to spend. I also tried out a VOLTZ 3000mah LiFe. So far I am happy.

I have a hobby king bec 35 15v/4s Lipo linear bec
that was for another failed projeect, but the bec
is still good.
does the bec act as a voltage reducer?

Other than that, I spoke to Ron, at Ron's heliproz,
and he said the failure rates for the align, 2 in 1,
is exagerated. He said there are a lot of them out there and
he doesn't believe the failure rates are that high,
in terms of returns, he said it is rare to that many go bad.
He would know, because he does a large volume of business, I would imagine, so he would see if there was a bunch of them coming back.

A BEC is a regulator. A "BEC" is generally used on an E application to step the voltage down from the battery to useful voltage for the other components.

There are alot of people out there that will buy a product, have an issue and throw it in the garbage and buy another. Take everything with a grain of salt.

when it comes to specialty items like this, I have more faith in the small companies that specialize in these products rather than a company that makes everything and is outsourcing the manufacturing to the lowest bidder.
