My 8103 spends its time between driving an occasional plank around the sky and running a sim at mall shows and other places where we put on demonstrations.

Still going strong, and still on 72 MHz.

I use my 8103 with both FR Sky and Spektrum modules. I fly both Helis and planks with it. Its a truly great radio. But then I still have the first true JR computer radio, My Galaxy 8. I do the same with it.

Just gave mine away to a flying buddy. Solid radio!

And you mean 1999 or 2003 right?

Hi AWittleWabbit,
I'm still using my 1997 JR8103 both 72Mhz and the DSM2 module without one problem since first bought it in 1996.
I have 10 helis in memory and fly every weekend. Very solid radio and love it.
I also have a 9303, 72Mhz and a 10X. Never have any problem

I got a used one 2005.

Using with the FrSky_non telemetry module. Talk about an inexpensive and reliable upgrade(?).

Getting more Rx's for the non rotary type thingys.

Only downside, Tx no longer balances as it did with antenna extended.

JR. XP 8103 Radio
I got one when they came out with the digital trims, so many years ago I can't remember when I bought it. Three friends of mine also bought one when I did. All of us still use them and three still have the original Tx battery in them and still going strong. I think I'm going to change the battery in mine this weekend. Great radio
