We will have a nice little video series on how helicopters work and try to keep it fun and entertaining along the way. here is the intro video and the rest will be posted in the next few days.

Awesome. Add me to the list of 168,000 subscribers.
This is great for the hobby and will do a lot to educate the general public.

More videos like this and I'll never have to explain to another person my helicopter is NOTHING like an Airhogs!

i don't know if "smarter everyday" is the best name for that video as i didn't learn anything from that video because all it showed was a good pilot showing off........

i think the high speed video would be sweet if there was enough light to see what was going on with the blades/head. they way it is now you really cant see much.

Light is a big issue with high speed cameras.

In the high speed shot there isn't much to see or look at. But if you look REALLY close, you can see cyclic blade pitch change as it comes around during the roll.

watch some of the previous videos and also wait on the next several that come out on helis, this was just the intro!!

that was a early/bad rendering, I have a much better version now with better light and a better editing but I did not have time to upload it, I will just save it for the episode that will be out in a few days.

yes if you blow it up full screen and especially on the next improved rendering you can see the cyclic pitch changing quite easily and that is what we were going for

Yeah keep wearing that helimet throughout those videos Destin. You may need it just encase that pilots Heli fails. Too close guys, way too close for a learning video. People will get the wrong idea that there is no harm in having a high power electric RC heli flying close to them.

Realy, you are going to pick this apart. The is for Joe public I fly a r/c heli. I bought it at Walmart.
Alot of 3ch helis have been sold and flown in the last year and a half, yet the people have no clue what the big r/c ones can do.
I think this is gerat you wake up the masses that just bought or recieved a 3ch heli for christmas and have no clue about the other side of rc helis.
It is Great they are showing it and he helped.

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

great job representing wingman. subbed.

for the record, the pilot/camera distance they were standing from the heli is no different than the flightline we have established at our club, and of any of probably 50 funfly events i've ever attended, and probably every IRCHA video hosted here.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Nicely done episode. I like how the commentator takes the average non Heli knowledgeable person on a journey but still keeps the pros like us still interested in every scene. Nice work so far.
