Maybe Mark can make this a sticky. But I wanted to start a topic that had to do with Vbars and setups.

Everyone should post the heli they fly and there settings on vbar. Hopefully it will give a good starting point to people who have never used a vbar before.

I will start.

Main Rotor,

Style- 74
Agility- 90
Gyro gain- 90
20% expo

Tail Rotor,

Yaw Rate- 100
Gyro gain- 75

I am flying a trex700e

I tried to do this specifically for the JR NEX E8 guys ...

https://rc.runryder.com/t687390p1/

Basically made a layout like so for everyone to input their own data

Basic Set Up
Motor: Align 700mx 510kv
ESC: Jive 80HV w/heatsink
Batteries: 12S 25C Gens Ace 3800mah (2 x 6S in parallel)
Cyclic Servos: Futaba BLS 451's
Tail Servo: Futaba BLS 251
Flybarless Unit: Mikado VBar 5.2v pro full size
Receiver/TX: Futaba R6208SB receiver with Futaba 8FGHS transmitter

Advanced Parameters

eCCPM Set Up
140° ccpm build

Servo horns
11mm out on each cyclic servo horn, tail servo horn as recommended in manual

Throttle Curves
Normal Mode: (0,35,55,55,55) *will include head speed soon
Throttle Hold: (0)
Idle Up 1: (65,65,65,65,65)
Idle Up 2: (65,65,65,65,65)

Pitch Curves

Normal Mode: (-50,-25,0,50,100), (-6.5°,0°,13°)
Throttle Hold: (-50,-25,0,50,100), (-6.5°,0°,13°)
Idle Up 1: (-100,-50,0,50,100),(-13°,0°,13°)
Idle Up 2: (-100,-50,0,50,100),(-13°,0°,13°)

Head Speeds
Normal Mode:
Throttle Hold:
Idle Up 1:
Idle Up 2:

Flybarless Unit Mixing/Adjustments
Gyro Gain:
Cyclic Gain:
Main head Gain:
Pirouette Rate:
etc. (I will add more to this section tomorrow)
Ideally I will include jpeg pictures right from the VBar unit for
ease of reading to see what parameters I am using....

I am using bankswitching currently on a 3 position switch, basically an "F3C" mode, Normal mode, "3D" mode by changing all the main parameters for each seperate bank 0,2,3

You mean in series. Parallel would give you 6s at 7600mah.

No Prob

Also, if you adjusted the Sub Trim and ATV's for the Bank Switching Channel you can get 0,1,2 instead of 0,2,3. Just a thought.

On your Radio, adjust the sub trim and end point to the channel your using for bank switching. I use ch5 for bank switching so when I toggle through the banks I read 0,1,2 not 0,2,3.

Are you using the Futaba 8FG? I am running my bank switch on channel 8.

So your saying just plug in the vbar and then start tuning the endpoints and atv of channel 8 until it reads 0,1,2 on the vbar main screen?

Yes, since you are already reading 0 you don't have to touch you low end point on Ch8, now put the switch to the middle position and lower the sub trim on Ch8 until it reads 1 on the main vbar screen on the PC, now put the switch in the last bank and lower the high end point until the 3 becomes a 2. Now you'll have 0,1,2 PM me if you need further help.

also if you do a mix to aux, like a gear to aux2 mix you can get all 4 settings 0,1,2,and 3 using the gear switch for the last point. it breaks the aux slide into quarters.
