I have flown all the of those. Currently have the gt-5 in my logo. Took out a perfectly good vbar to try it out. So far I'm happy with it, still needs some tweaking on the tail though. It is on par with the beastx for sure. The thing I didn't like about the beastx was not being able to see the settings on a screen or computer. So much so I sold it.

I'm running a jive in my Logo so I don't need the vbar gov. Else I would never have taken it out. In a machine where gov isn't important then gt-5 all the way.

vbar >>> gt-5 > Beastx >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> align 3gx

Hi Mate,

I have both I've been running the Beastx on my SDX for over a year which I love it's a easy system to set up and it works right out of the box with very little effort needed to get it working well.

The GT-5 I have only just set up on my FBL Freya 4 tanks of fuel so far, seems to be pretty good so far it's not bothered by the vibes from a 90size nitro. The setup is more complex though and takes a bit more to understand the first flight setup as per the manual needs to be ignored IMO. Anyway after 4 tanks of fuel it seems to be working pretty well and I'm sure it will be as good as the beastx. I would buy another GT-5 also I would buy another beastx I bought the GT-5 new from someone who never used it for the right price. For some reason in Australia people will pay new prices for used beastx's.

I've not owned a align 3g or 3gx but looking at the amount of people who sell them right out of the kit or who flew the 3gx for a short time then sold them.... Sounds like the beastx or GT-5 are a better system hey even sounds like a $30 copterx is a better system.

Edit: I should mention I was using futaba 9252 servos in my Freya with the GT5 and as I knew before I flew it they are not really up to the job of a FBL 90 so I'm waiting on new servos atm.

I am using The GT-5. So far, I'm very pleased with it, though as mentioned the instructions aren't so very helpful. They don't even mention that a channel is available for governor gain suitable for a nitro model.

Other points: There is no fail-safe programming, no governor function (you must use an external governor but gain can be controlled), and so far no mention of any way to update the firmware, though there is certainly a port to do so.

Other than that, the interface is simply amazing and with some experimentation the instructions can be deciphered and sense made of them. It flies great too and you can't beat the price.

Providing Ace come up with a firmware update and continue to update the instructions, this is likely to become a very popular unit.

I have tried Skookum SK720, V-Bar, BeastX,CYG-750 and now GT5 and I can say that the GT5 flys as good as any of them and better then some. I agree that the instructions leave a little to be desired, however their is enough information in their to get you set up.
+1 for the GT5.

The thing I didn't like about the beastx was not being able to see the settings on a screen or computer
Beastx Micro settings interface lets you do this.
If you set your Beast to 'USER DEFINED SETTINGS' then you can you use the interface to set the unit.

GT5 rocks!
Coming from CGY750, I was really pleased with the overall perf on my T600N, the double tap is a breeze but true, the manual Doesn't go much in details about what each parameter does... the 2nd version of the manual is a bit better though.

The GT5 is like an updated BeastX. GT5 has the slickest interface of all FBL sytems with the touch panel and OLED screen. Flight performance is and should be similar since they each use the same brand/model MEMS gyro sensors. The tail on my GT5 equipped 700N is excellent.

I like how small the GT5 is compared to the BeastX and having no mechanical pots to wear and change/drift is a big plus for the GT5.

HI Guys

Im in the process of setting up a GT5 on a new model and run into a problem i hope you can help with, i pulled out a CGY750 which was all set up and channels assigned etc with the 14 mz with a S-bus rx. i plugged in the GT5 to the S- bus rx and set the whole model up then plugged in the throttle esc to the throttle channel on GT5 and the castle creation just beeps and wont arm ??? i unplugged the esc and plugged in a servo to confirn the channel was correct and the servo worked properly as it should if on a nitro heli. But i cannot get the esc. to operate, any ideas.

I don't know the Castle Cremations speedies but if it was a scorpion I would sugest calibrating the throttle range!
Does the castle link software indicate when the throttle is out of range? You may have to increase or reduce the throttle end points to get it in range!

Thanks NitroAl

I tried resetting the end points and got to 130% afr and no joy so i unplugged the esc cable and plugged it into ch3 on the rx and it works fine its like the GT5 does not send out the correct signal for the cc esc to see it ???????

I have just got my model air born now i got the esc plugged into the rx not the gt5 it seems to feel good for a default setup. At slow head speed 1675rpm it has a elevator nodding what do i need to adjust in the GT5 to remove this. The nod goes away at 1900 rpm and changing the gains makes no difference. It is not related to the head rubbers being to hard because if i turn of the gyro i get no nodding.

Thanks
