Today its 100% fun and NO $$$$ About 10 flights and no crashes.
But the more the heli cost the more fun it is to fly.

It's marketing....and it must work from reading other peoples posts in various threads. It seems that many feel a need to try to keep up with the guy next to them. I find nothing wrong with plastic airframes and previous generations of engines, servos, gyro, etc, I usually can outfit a heli pretty cheap because people dump previous generation because they are addicted to the need for the latest, greatest version of whatever.

For me, the more the heli cost the better if flies, but the less fun it is to fly.

I've limited myself to no more than about $1000.00 for any heli. The problem I've discovered is when I have more than a few heli"s, I just simply cannot commit the time to working on them. I've decided to focus on just a couple of heli's with like electronic's, and not having to take the time to try and figure out a bunch of different products.
+1 for the MCPX though. Inexpensive, fun to fly, and you can fly it almost anywhere.
