I have a new T-Rex 500 with a Scorpion 1600 KV motor and a Turnigy 80 amp ESC. My problem is that the motor won't start turning until the throttle stick on the transmitter is at midpoint. After midpoint the motor does ok. I have an almost straight throttle curve set up (1st. point-0%, 2nd. point-33%, 3rd, point -51.5%, 4th.point midstick-70%, 5th. point-77.5%, 6th. point-86%, 7th point-100%). I would like for the motor to start turning when the stick is close to the bottom. At midpoint I should be hovering.
I am using a 6 cell 22.2 v. Turnigy battery to power the model.
Is my only solution changing the throttle curve on the transmiter to 70% at the bottom of the stick or is there something else that I can do? Could it be a defective ESC? I have the ESC programed for soft start, no brake and the timing is set to low.
I would greatly appreciate your Ideas or suggestions. Thanks
