My PT-25 arrived today. I haven't built anything out of balsa for 5 years. I had an Autogyro Company of Arizona 2D for a while until I totaled it one day. Looking forward to the build if I can find the time to work on it. It will be powered by an OS .25 nitro since I have one sitting in my stuff.

I just finished my new pt profile. I finally took the plunge.

I have not test flown it yet, as it has been too darn windy in KY.

I really liked the kit's completeness and accuracy. The weak part is the rotor hinge, but I guess that is by design to save the rest if you have a mishap.

I went electric, because I had the stuff laying around already. I did follow their recommendation on servos.

Well, I test flew my autogyro yesterday.

It flies really well. I was surprised. I used mostly rudder and pitch.

I let the blades spin up on a pretty long takeoff run, then it just lifted into the air as I pulled back the pitch. I did several figure 8's.

The thing will almost hover in one place. Landing was easy, just throttle down and flair. No problem.

The takeoff key is to get the head speed up, I also recommend a tail wheel.

sweet!

well,I have had a bunch more flights on this ship. It really flies well, and handles wind pretty good.

I recommend this kit to anyone wanting to try autogyros.

People at the field were like "wow., what is that!"

I have about 20 flights on my gyro now and am really having fun with it. The kit was very complete and well done. I ended up swapping my .25 out for a .40. It really draws attention at the flying field

Quick shot of it. It flies really well and with a little wind you can land it almost vertically.

Greg from what I've heard they work really well on Electric. I ended up swapping out the .25 for a .40 Nitro. It flies much better now with the added power. Here's a link to the kit http://www.aerobalsa.com/agkits.php#pt25

They are great kits and Mark and John with flyingbalsa do an excellent job! You can't go wrong! Great trainers to get into the autogyro world!
